Another Sex

by Kenneth Kapp

It was bound to happen. You could point to the cold winters and the Arctic Winds crossing the border without blaming Canada. Trump would have redirected them with his Sharpie but wasn’t sure where the Arctic was and Noem at that time was running the show or out back shooting dogs. Besides, she was in South Dakota. The real craziness was just that-a-way further north. People could tell the difference between the sexes in South Dakota! And rough-riding cowgirl Kristi knows her stuff.

But there you have it: passed and signed by the governor himself, Doug Burgum, when he was governor of North Dakota. Now he’s moved on to bigger and better things. So go figure! It’s all wrapped up in a bill: The Definition of Female, Male, Sex, and the Scrap Metal Dealer.
